The VR set allows you to virtually explorer the world using Google Street View app. You can virtually walk on the streets of Paris, Tokyo or any other location of your choice with a click of a button.
To transfer yourself, all you need to do is simply type your desired destination in the search bar and then wait for Street View locations to come up. Once you have chosen a place, hit the VR headset/Cardboard icon on the right corner. Put your phone into your Cardboard viewer and you are now somewhere new.
